While in Brazil, we partnered with a local, after school/weekend ministry that serves approximately 50 children. We rented out a large house to create an exciting summer camp setting for them. For two days we ministered to the younger children with Bible stories, art lessons, games, shared meals, swimming pool time and beach excursions. The older children came and stayed two nights with us at the beach house. We followed a similar ministry program with them with the addition of life skills classes in which we trained the girls in cooking, hair and make up and the boys in electrical circuits, and small motor mechanics. All of them wanted to be baptized and several of them gained permission to do so from their parents. We also had the opportunity to give a message of encouragement to a local church. Altar ministry and worship times were powerful too.

If our team on the ground can commit to our safe passage and keeping we will go. They have the best sense of the region. While taken into consideration, we do not base base our decisions solely on governmental warnings.

Leisure Time
We feel strongly that when joining us on any mission trip you should experience the country and culture. We intentionally build three days of leisure into every trip. The beautiful coastal city of Rio de Janeiro does not disappoint. The various activity options are endless. Visiting Sugarloaf Mountain and Christ the Redeemer is at the top of the bucket list.  The Lapa Steps are another favorite stop, and we must spend time at, world famous, Copacabana Beach. On the weekends, the art market is on full display featuring an endless array of authentic, Brazilian artistry.
When applying for a trip simply print or download the appropriate form, and then fill it out by hand or on your computer. Finally, email or text the completed form to [email protected] or 405.323.0835.
